Descanso Garden Plant Sale :)

Hey here's a cool weekend activity! The Descanso Garden Plant Sale! Buy a plant for your garden and then steal ideas from their beautiful gardens :)

The Spring Plant Sale will take place Friday and Saturday, April 23 and 24. Stock up on rooted cuttings from Descanso's Rose Garden, warm weather lilacs developed at Descanso, and native and rare plants of all kinds.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The botanical shopping experience takes place at the Lake House Nursery and there's no admission entrance to this sale. Remember to park in the auxiliary lot for easier access.

Location

Descanso Gardens is located near the intersection of the 210 and 2 freeways. It is a short 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles.

Hours

Descanso Gardens is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year except Christmas. Visitors are encouraged to arrive before 4:30 p.m. There is ample free parking.

Admission

General $8. Senior/Students $6. Children (5 to 12 years) $3. Guild members and children under 5 free.

Tram $4. Tram tours are 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 11 a.m., 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Enchanted Railroad $3. Spring hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Reciprocal admissions are during regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
