Cali Coast Vacation

Last weekend, the three of us went on a little trip up the coast. We stayed in Santa Barbara @ the Canary Hotel. It was such a fun hotel. It looked like my favorite store  - other than carlyjean :)  - Anthropology  had opened a hotel. The decor was beautiful and the view from the pool deck roof was breathtaking!

Saturday morning, we had breakfast at the Biltmore/Four Seasons. WOW! What a place! We decided oh! we'll have breakfast there! It can't be that crazy expensive, it's breakfast!  ...$70.00 dollars later :) Well, I do have to say it was pretty yummy and it was a total treat! We then hit some fabulous estate sales in Montecito, finding some cool paintings, dishes, and a mirror all for $20.00! Everything was wonderfully OLD and weathered, the way I like it. We spent the rest of the day in Montecito, enjoying lunch (we split to make up for breakfast :) and some good ole' window shopping.

Sunday, we drove up the coast to San Simeon Bay, the home of Hearst Castle. It was an amazing drive...we are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. The castle was fascinating! Chad and I  both love history and this property was filled with it!

Monday, we headed back but stopped in Ventura. I would have to say some of my favorite thrift stores are there. You can't beat the prices and downtown Ventura is so quaint. We can't wait to do the trip again. Next time, we'll have to drive through Ojai for some strawberry shortcake!
