Last week I went in for a regular check up at my doctor, I was 9.5 weeks pregnant. Sadly we found out that the sweet little baby went home to be with the Lord. It was not what we had planned, but we know that it is exactly what the Lord had planned. I always think of Habakkuk, His name means " one who embraces". His name was so appropriate, He clung to God and even when times looked hopeless and dark, He rejoiced in God and was dependent on God's strength. One of my favorite verses is Habakkuk 3:18-19 at the most hopeless of times Habakkuk prays,
" Yet I will exult the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of My Salvation. The Lord God is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds feet, And makes me walk on my high places."
I love that picture of hinds feet walking on mountains that look impossible to climb, but God has made their feet to climb and overcome them. I'm thankful for God's strength that carries us through all things.I'm thankful the Lord continues to teach and grow us. I'm thankful God tests our faith. I am thankful for Salvation, which saves me and gives me forgiveness and hope beyond this world. I'm thankful for a husband beyond what I could have dreamed of, who so sweetly loves, teaches and leads me constantly to Christ. I'm thankful for my sweet baby Hudson who I can't kiss enough, squeeze enough, and love enough. I'm thankful the Lord answers prayer, and will continue to pray for another baby!
